Virgilio Volante was born in Cassino in 1999. He started playing the piano under the teaching of Maestro Giovanni Valle and, subsequently, in 2019 he obtained the 1st level academic diploma in piano with 110, honors and honorable mention at the “LicinioRefice” Conservatory of Frosinone under the guidance of M ° Carlo Negroni. Currently he attends the second –year of specialized degree in piano at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Milan under the guidance of Maestro Silvia Limongelli. He has soon showed an aptitude for composition by writing solo and chamber music for performances and arrangements of various kinds.
He was ranked in the first places in various international competitions (Premo 'Clivis' in Rome, 'Mozart' Awards in Frascati, 'Note nel Borgodell’Angelo' Award in BovilleErnica ...) and has attended various master classes and seminars. (Clinics of the Berklee of Boston at Umbria Jazz, Barry Harris at the Felt Music Club in Rome, Composition Seminar of M ° S. In December 2014 a cd of his compositions was released entitled "Sleepless Night"
He has held numerous concerts in Italy and abroad (Spain, Romania) both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles ranging from classical music to jazz. (Atina Jazz, Villa Borghese Piano Day, Trajan's Markets, Piano City Naples, Polish Institute of Rome, Piano City Milan…). He has an intense activity as a composer, transcriber, arranger and since 2014 he has been responsible for the rediscovery and transcription of the works of the composer Samuele Pagano (1883-1972).
