Biography

Virgilio Volante was born in Cassino in 1999. He started playing the piano under the teaching of M° Giovanni Valle, then, he obtained the 1st Level Academic Diploma in Piano with 110, honors and honorable mention at the “LicinioRefice” Conservatory of Frosinone under the guide of M° Carlo Negroni and the 2nd Level Academic Diploma in Piano with 110, honors and honourable mention at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Milan under the guidance of M° Silvia Limongelli. He has soon showed a good aptitude for composition by writing musics of various kinds and for modern music study in deep jazz and improvising musics. He has attended various masterclasses and seminars: (piano course at the Accademia Chigiana di Siena with M° LilyaZilberstein, summer courses of Accademia ‘Incontri col maestro’ of Imola with M° Boris Petrushansky, Ingrid Fliter and Igor Roma, clinics of the Berklee of Boston at Umbria Jazz, composition seminar of M ° Stefano Taglietti in Assisi…) and he was ranked in the first places in various international competitions (Premio 'Clivis' in Rome, 'Mozart' Awards in Frascati, 'Note nel Borgo dell’Angelo' Award in Boville Ernica ..., Athens’Muse international piano competition ). He has held numerous concerts in Italy and abroad (Spain, Romania) both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles ranging from classical music to jazz. (Atina Jazz, Villa Borghese Piano Day, Trajan's Markets, Piano City Naples, Polish Institute of Rome, Piano City Milan…). He has and intense activity as pianist, composer and teacher of both classical and modern music.
